Ways to Move at the MOVEMENT
At the MOVEMENT, every class is rooted in body intelligence, nervous system awareness, and respect for where you are — physically, emotionally, and energetically.
Some people come here to feel strong and capable in their bodies.
Some come to slow down, listen deeply, and unwind long-held patterns.
Many discover, over time, that they need both.
Rather than asking you to fit into one way of moving, we offer a few different entry points, each grounded in the same somatic, trauma-informed approach.
Strength & Stability
Somatic strength classes
These classes are where most people start.
Designed to build core support, strength, and stability — without pushing or performance pressure — this path offers structured movement taught with awareness, breath, and choice.
Includes:
Core Strength
Barre Strength
Dynamic Strength
Somatic Restoration
Slow, restorative somatic classes
This pathway offers slower, subtler movement practices focused on restoring ease, supporting the nervous system, and unwinding habitual tension.
Classes in this path are significantly different from strength-based formats and are best experienced with curiosity, patience, and repetition.
Includes:
Somatic Unwinding
Movement Playground (prerequisite required)
Private Sessions
Individualized support, at your own pace
For those wanting more personalized guidance, private sessions offer a space to work one-on-one with individualized attention and care.
Private work can complement group classes or stand alone, depending on your needs. Sessions are tailored to your body, goals, and nervous system — supporting both strength and restoration.
Not sure where to begin?
Many students start with Strength & Stability classes and later explore Somatic Restoration when their bodies feel ready. Others arrive already knowing they need something slower and more inward.
There’s no right order — only what feels supportive to you right now.
