Strength & Stability

Somatic, trauma-informed strength classes

Strength & Stability classes support you in building strength, coordination, and core support — while staying connected to your breath, sensations, and natural limits.

These classes are taught through a somatic, trauma-informed lens. That means you’ll be guided to move with awareness and choice, rather than pushing, forcing, or overriding what your body is communicating.

The intention isn’t to “fix” your body — it’s to help you feel more at home in it.

What makes this different

While these are strength-focused classes, they are not driven by intensity, performance, or appearance.

You’ll be invited to:

  • move with curiosity rather than judgment

  • build strength from the inside out

  • notice how your body responds and adjust accordingly

  • develop stability that supports daily life

Structure is consistent and supportive, with space for individual pacing and rest when needed.

Classes in this path

Core Strength

A dynamic, thoughtfully structured class designed to cultivate deep core connection.

Blending principles of Pilates, barre, and somatic movement, Core Strength focuses on connecting the limbs to the core through breath, alignment, and intentional engagement. You'll build stability, balance, and functional strength that carries beyond the studio.

Classes typically include a grounding drop-in, warm-up, progressive strength work, cooling down, and integration. All levels are welcome.

Barre Strength

A strength and endurance-focused class rooted in somatic awareness.

Using high-repetition movements, light weights, and isometric holds, Barre Strength builds strength while maintaining a steady connection to breath and posture. Classes move at a consistent pace and conclude with a restorative cool down to help integrate the work.

All levels are welcome.

Dynamic Strength

A slower-paced strength class that works with heavier weights while staying grounded in somatic awareness.

Dynamic Strength focuses on building strength through integrated movement, breath, and posture rather than speed or intensity. Classes are structured around a small number of strength setups including deadlift-style movements, weighted squats and thrusts, kettlebell work, and core integration. All allowing time to organize the body and refine form.

Dynamic Strength pairs well with Barre and Core classes and offers a supportive way to continue developing strength while staying connected to the body.

How people often use these classes

Many students begin here and attend these classes regularly as their primary movement practice. Others mix strength classes with Somatic Restoration or private sessions as their needs evolve.

There’s no “correct” way to engage — your rhythm may change over time, and that’s welcomed.
