Using the Space at the MOVEMENT
the MOVEMENT is a curated space rooted in body autonomy, nervous system awareness, and respect for lived experience. The studio is available for intentional, aligned use by movement educators and facilitators whose work honors these values.
This is not a generic rental space.
We prioritize practices that are:
Body-intelligent rather than performative
Choice-based rather than command-driven
Respectful of nervous systems, boundaries, and consent
Aligned with the understanding that bodies are not problems to be fixed
The Space Is Best Suited For:
Movement classes (dance, yoga, Pilates, strength, somatic work)
Small group series or workshops
Rehearsals or practices held with care and clarity
Educators who are thoughtful about language, music, and the container they create
Care of the Space
To ensure the space remains welcoming, respectful, and ready for the next group, all renters are expected to:
Leave the studio as they found it
Return props and equipment to their designated places
Clean up after their session and exit on time
Availability & Structure
Availability, rates, and scheduling are discussed after reviewing alignment. Completing the interest form does not guarantee availability or approval.
The studio is available for:
Recurring weekly or bi-weekly rentals
Short-term series or limited-run offerings
One-time workshops
A Note on Alignment
Renting the space at the MOVEMENT is not simply a transaction. It’s a shared container.
We ask all potential renters to:
Review and align with our studio values and expectations
Take responsibility for holding their group with care
Respect the physical space, neighboring businesses, and the surrounding community
Carry appropriate liability insurance for their work (documentation may be requested)
We may not be the right fit for:
High-volume, drop-in events without clear facilitation
Work that relies heavily on correction, force, or compliance
Activities that override participant choice or agency
This is not about exclusivity, it’s about integrity.
Interested in Renting?
If this resonates, you’re welcome to complete the Rental Interest Form.
The form helps us understand:
The nature of your work
How you hold a group
The kind of container you’re looking to create
From there, we’ll determine next steps together.
Thank you for approaching this space with care and intention.
